Pint of Science.<\/strong><\/p>\n

[Pau, France, 19 May –\u00a0<\/em>What if your living room could generate energy?<\/i>]<\/em><\/p>\n

Pint of Science brings scientists into bars and caf\u00e9s to talk directly with the public. For a project working on something as invisible as indoor light energy harvesting, it’s a rare chance to make the science tangible: showing, glass in hand, how the light already in the room could one day power the objects around us.<\/p>\n

Photovoltaic workshops in schools.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hands-on workshops introduced schoolchildren to the basics of photovoltaic energy and indoor light harvesting \u2014 planting the seed of renewable-energy literacy with a generation that will inherit the energy transition EFFECTOR is helping to build.<\/p>\n

A workshop at PRINSE’26.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While several EFFECTOR partners were in Oulu, Finland for the January supervisory board meeting, they also ran a workshop at PRINSE’26<\/strong>, the 9th PrintoCent Industry Seminar (28\u201329 January 2026, University of Oulu) \u2014 the biennial gathering of Finland’s Printed Intelligence cluster, which brings together companies and researchers working on printed, flexible and hybrid electronics. It was a chance to present EFFECTOR’s approach to an industry audience working on exactly the kind of scalable, roll-to-roll manufacturing the project’s organic solar cells will eventually need.<\/p>\n

Why it matters.<\/strong> Public talks, school workshops and industry seminars serve different purposes, but together they do something a scientific paper cannot: they connect EFFECTOR’s research to the people who will use it, teach it, and manufacture it at scale.<\/p>\n
